This photo was taken from a tripod with a long exposure. I placed fine steel wool into a metal whisk and tied a string to the end of the whisk. Then I lit the steel wool on fire and spun it around and walked backwards down the dock while the exposure was being made. The sparks went flying, it was a lot of fun.
